My educational background is in occupational therapy. In my daily work, I help people become more confident and competent in participating in meaningful aspects of their life. I find it fascinating to hear about what it is like to be them. I learn about how they engage with others or go about their daily routines and rituals, and I get an inside look at their vision of who they want to become.
I am a hobbyist with a camera who finds joy in capturing the stories of people at various stages of life – people who are doing, being, and becoming. When I am taking photographs, I like to think of myself attaching my “OT lens” right onto the front of my camera body, and using my viewfinder as a way to document who people are, what people do, and the future they are excitedly approaching.
